Streamlight has launched the MegaStream USB, a high-performance flashlight designed for those who need intense brightness in a portable, everyday carry format. Michael F. Dineen, Streamlight’s Chief Revenue Officer, emphasized its suitability for first responders, outdoor enthusiasts, and professionals, stating, “It provides intense brightness with long-distance reach, extraordinary run time, and convenient USB-C charging.”
Measuring just 13.4 cm and weighing only 153 grams, the MegaStream USB offers three output modes: High (1,800 lumens, 26,000 candela, 322-meter beam distance), Medium (500 lumens, 7,200 candela, 170-meter beam distance), and Low (150 lumens, 2,100 candela, 92-meter beam distance). The flashlight provides run times from 13 hours on Low to 2 hours on High.
The MegaStream USB is powered by a 3,500mAh Streamlight SL-B34® lithium-ion battery, which can be charged both inside and outside the flashlight. A push-button tail cap switch allows for momentary or constant operation, and the USB-C charging port is protected by a sliding head cover.
Durability is key to the MegaStream USB, which features a machined aluminum alloy body with a Type II MIL-Spec anodized finish. The flashlight is also IPX7-rated waterproof to one meter for 30 minutes and is impact-resistant up to 2 meters, with an unbreakable polycarbonate lens for added protection.
