Gotion InoBat Batteries, a joint venture between China’s Gotion High-Tech and Slovak battery manufacturer InoBat, has donated mobile electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to the Government Office of the Slovak Republic. The donation aims to support the country’s shift towards electromobility.
Each mobile charging station has a capacity of 182 kWh, capable of charging 4-5 vehicles before needing to be recharged. The stations can fully charge an EV battery from 30% to 100% within 40 minutes to an hour, depending on the vehicle’s specifications.
The stations are built to withstand a wide range of conditions, operating in temperatures from -20° C to 50° C and at altitudes up to 2,000 meters. Depending on the power source, the stations can recharge themselves in just over three hours using a 60 kW DC charger, or in around nine hours with a 22 kW AC charger.
Designed to be portable and flexible, these chargers do not require permanent installation, making them ideal for locations lacking established charging infrastructure. The units can autonomously move to EVs via remote control at a speed of 5 km/h, enabling quick deployment to areas in need of charging. This flexibility allows for faster expansion of charging networks and is particularly useful at temporary events or locations still developing their charging infrastructure.
Steven Cai, Chairman of GIB and President of Gotion EMEA, stated, “We currently have additional mobile charging stations ready, which we plan to deploy in coordination with the Government Office of the Slovak Republic. We believe that such solutions will contribute to the faster adoption of electromobility in Slovakia.”
