The city of Pasadena has announced a temporary ban on power air blowers and air-propelling devices, including leaf blowers, in response to health concerns linked to the ongoing Eaton Fire and strong winds.
Officials explained that these devices stir up ash and particulate matter, worsening air quality and heightening health risks for residents, particularly those with respiratory conditions, older adults, children, and other vulnerable groups. The ban is aimed at safeguarding public health by reducing exposure to harmful airborne particles.
