Mooer Audio has updated its desktop amp series with the Hornet 15W Li, a portable amp that offers plenty of features. Available in both white and black finishes, this amp includes a lithium battery, allowing for wireless playing.
The lithium battery provides several hours of wireless playing time. The amp also uses Mooer’s amp modelling technology to deliver a wide variety of sounds. If you’re familiar with the Hornet series, the design will look similar—retro styling with modern performance.
The front features a large dial that lets you cycle through nine preamp types, each inspired by classic guitar amps. The Hornet 15W Li can be used in live mode, showing the current settings, or you can save your favorite sounds to nine preset options. This could come in handy, especially with the onboard effects.
The amp offers three types of effects: modulation, delay, and reverb. Modulation includes options for chorus, vibrato, and phaser. Delay types available are analogue, tape echo, and digital. Reverb effects include room, hall, and church settings. The modulation and delay effects each have their own tap tempo buttons for added control.
