SK Signet Inc. announced on Monday that it will expedite the installation of ultra-fast and fast electric vehicle (EV) chargers at major highway rest areas across the country. The company plans to install a total of 191 chargers at 42 highway rest areas by the first half of 2025. This will include 350 kW ultra-fast chargers and 200 kW all-in-one fast chargers.
As the primary contractor for the 2024 Highway EV Charging Station Project by Korea Expressway Corp., SK Signet is working to enhance the availability and accessibility of EV charging infrastructure for highway users. This initiative aims to meet the growing demand for charging stations, driven by the increasing adoption of electric vehicles, and to provide a more convenient charging experience for drivers on the go.
By expanding its network of fast and ultra-fast chargers, SK Signet hopes to address key challenges facing EV owners, ensuring that they have reliable access to charging options during long-distance travel.
