NHOA Energy, a global leader in utility-scale energy storage systems, has announced the successful completion of the Blyth Battery project for Neoen. The 238.5 MW / 477 MWh battery was constructed on schedule, within budget, and met all performance requirements set by AEMO and ElectraNet. The project was delivered in partnership with Elecnor Australia.
The Blyth Battery will play a crucial role in stabilizing the output of Neoen’s Goyder South Stage 1 wind farm. It will provide 70 MW of renewable baseload power to BHP, a global resources leader, while also offering additional services to Australia’s national electricity market. The project was financed through international lenders.
The Blyth Battery showcases NHOA Energy’s technical expertise and project management capabilities. A dedicated team of qualified professionals will now manage the battery’s operations and maintenance under a long-term contract with Neoen to ensure its continued performance and availability.
This project further strengthens NHOA Energy’s position in Australia’s energy storage market and underscores its commitment to advancing the country’s energy transition and the growth of the cleantech industry.
