Kawasaki has announced a recall of more than 40,000 John Deere mowers sold in the U.S. and Canada due to a defect in the engine that may cause it to overheat.
The company has received five reports of fires and 26 additional reports involving melting and smoking. As a result, Kawasaki is urging owners of John Deere Z-Trak Zero Turn Mowers with the affected engines to immediately stop using them.
