ChargEV has launched a large EV charging hub at Elmina Lakeside Mall, adding to their upcoming commercial electric lorry charging facility in Tangkak, Johor. Unlike typical locations with just a few DC charge points, this new hub features 16 DC charge points, making it one of the largest of its kind in Malaysia.
The hub utilizes eLoaded’s DC Grid technology, which helps manage power efficiently, enabling the deployment of large-scale charging stations similar to those at Sortimo Innovations Park in Zusmarshausen, Germany. The chargers are organized into two clusters, with 8 DC charge points in Parking Zone A and another 8 in Parking Zone B.
The chargers are currently in a trial phase, and users can activate them via the ChargEV app. In the future, ChargEV is expected to offer tiered pricing based on the charging rate and duration. This system will cater to various user needs, such as a quick 15-minute top-up or an hour-long charge while dining or shopping.
