Mark Payne, a self-employed plumber, suffered a loss of around £1,500 worth of tools after his van was broken into. The incident occurred between 9pm and 10pm while Mark was working at a friend’s house.
The thief, armed with a screwdriver and torch, damaged the van door, gained access to the interior, and stole the tools. The van was parked outside a property on Leydene Avenue, Bournemouth.

After finishing his work, Mark, 38, discovered the break-in when he saw the van door had been destroyed. The thief had cut a seven-inch hole to reach the locking mechanism and open the door. Mark said, “I realized my van had been broken into and numerous tools had been stolen.”
