A man in his 50s has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a chainsaw accident in Queensland’s Toowoomba region. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, when the man accidentally cut his left leg while cutting trees on a rural property in Coalbank.

A LifeFlight helicopter responded quickly, landing in a nearby paddock to allow a critical care doctor and a Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic to assess and treat his injuries. The man was then flown to Toowoomba Base Hospital in stable condition.
