Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has teamed up with Portable Electric to introduce the innovative PU130 mobile charging system, designed to support the growing electrification of construction sites. Integrated with Portable Electric’s advanced 48-Volt Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) technology, the PU130 offers a dual-purpose solution that addresses both equipment recharging and on-site power needs.
The system can charge electric construction equipment at a 20 kW rate while simultaneously providing up to 40 kW of power for essential jobsite tools, lighting, office trailers, and more. This multifunctional capability ensures that construction projects run smoothly without compromising power supply. Additionally, the PU130 can hybridize with other power generation systems, ensuring extended operational time and continuous support for high-demand projects.
By improving energy efficiency and reducing downtime, the PU130 is set to play a pivotal role in advancing the sustainability of construction sites, making it an essential tool for the industry’s future.
