Chicago police are searching for a burglar who has been breaking into businesses in the Edgewater neighborhood using a screwdriver. Surveillance video released by authorities shows the suspect smashing windows of three stores within a week.
The break-ins occurred on the following dates and locations:

12:35 a.m. on Jan. 3 in the 1100 block of West Granville

Between 10 p.m. on Jan. 8 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 9 in the 5200 block of North Broadway

4:25 a.m. on Jan. 9 in the 1200 block of West Devon

The suspect was seen wearing black clothing, a coat with a fur-lined hood, and brown boots. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
