Dreame has launched its A1 Pro robot lawn mower in several European countries, marking the second iteration of the product. The original model was released last year, and both versions were showcased at IFA 2024, where the company highlighted their differences.
The main improvement in the A1 Pro is its new all-terrain wheels. These wheels are designed to provide better traction, enabling the robot to navigate more challenging terrains and handle a wider range of weather conditions. However, the maximum slope capability remains unchanged at 45% or 24°.
Beyond these wheel enhancements, the A1 Pro retains much of the same technology as the original A1. The robot uses OmniSense, a LiDAR-based navigation system that helps it avoid obstacles and move around gardens without the need for boundary wires or an RTK antenna. It is designed for lawns up to 1,000 m² (around 10,800 ft²), which the mower can cover in 24 hours when operating in standard mode. Users can control the mower remotely via the Dreamehome app, where they can schedule mowing sessions, manage the map, and adjust settings such as cutting height.
The A1 Pro is now available for pre-order on Amazon in countries like the Netherlands, France, and Germany, priced at €1,599. The release date is set for February 10th in France and Germany, though Dutch customers may have to wait until August. For reference, the original model was priced at €1,999, but it now sells for approximately €1,499. It is still unclear when or if the A1 Pro will be available in other markets, such as the U.S.
