Streamlight’s ProTac HL-X flashlight has been selected by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as the official tactical light for its agents, following a new five-year contract. The flashlight, known for its durability and reliable grip, delivers up to 1,000 lumens of light and offers versatile power options, including a proprietary USB rechargeable battery or disposable CR123A batteries.
The ProTac HL-X will be distributed to FBI agents through Tactical Express, LLC, a supplier of gear to federal law enforcement agencies. Under the terms of the Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), the flashlight will be issued to students in the Firearms Training Unit at the FBI Academy. It will also be available for purchase across all FBI divisions. Deliveries began in November.
“We are excited to partner with Tactical Express and the FBI,” said Matthew J. Baker, director of Streamlight’s Military/Federal/Government sales division. “The ProTac HL-X has already been used by U.S. military police and security forces, and we are proud to now provide these high-performance lights to FBI agents.”
Designed for reliability in tough conditions, the ProTac HL-X is a multi-fuel flashlight that can operate with both rechargeable and disposable batteries, providing flexible and cost-effective charging solutions. Its rugged build makes it suitable for use in remote locations or extended operations, such as crime scene processing and low-light training.
