Hitachi has launched a new low-side scroll compressor with advanced features designed for efficiency and environmental sustainability. The compressor includes an optimized involute design for low GWP refrigerants, improving performance while maintaining the reliability that Hitachi’s scroll compressor family is known for.
Compatible with both R454B and R32 refrigerants, this compressor aligns with green initiatives, offering a more efficient and eco-friendly solution.
The new compressor also features a high-efficiency hermetic motor and an optimized load, ensuring stable operation across its entire range. These enhancements guarantee exceptional functionality and reliability.
Along with the new low-side scroll compressor, Hitachi showcased its extensive range of high-side scroll compressors and other products at the AHR Expo. This wide product lineup serves various applications, including VRF systems, chillers, heat pumps, transport, refrigeration, and energy storage solutions.
Wisdom Hao, General Manager of the China & Southeast Asia/Pacific Compressor Business Unit at Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning, highlighted the company’s commitment to its global strategy, which focuses on Full Inverter, New Refrigerant, and New Globalization.
“Our independent presence at the AHR Expo marks an important step in our strategy as we enter the North American market,” Hao said. “With advanced technology and a comprehensive product range, we aim to create greater value for our North American customers.”
Hitachi has been a pioneer in scroll compressor technology. In 1983, it introduced the world’s first scroll compressor designed for air-conditioning. Four years later, it launched the first scroll compressor for Railway AC systems. In 1988, the company unveiled the first scroll compressor for refrigeration. By 2008, Hitachi developed China’s first R410A DC inverter scroll compressor, incorporating advanced dynamic oil balance management technology.
