Mercedes-Benz has revealed plans to significantly expand its fast charging network across North America, with over 2,500 new fast chargers set to be implemented in the U.S. and Canada. The first stations are scheduled to open in Metro Vancouver in 2025, followed by more locations in Toronto by 2026.
This initiative aims to address the current gaps in fast charging infrastructure, improving the electric vehicle (EV) ownership experience for Mercedes-Benz customers. The network will feature 400 kW DC chargers, compatible with both CCS1 and NACS connectors. The expansion follows the successful launch of the Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging network, which opened its first U.S. station in Sandy Springs, Georgia, in November 2023.
