Dutch Agriculture Set for Clean Air Revolution with $6.3M Compressor Deal

by Harry

Sprintex, an Australian clean air technology company, is making a major move in European agriculture with a $6.3 million (€3.8M) purchase order for its compressor systems, specifically targeting ammonia emissions in the Netherlands. The deal will see 200 Sprintex-Mest compressor units deployed across Dutch farms, marking a significant step in addressing the region’s agricultural emissions challenges. Each system, priced at $31,000, will be manufactured at Mest Water’s newly established facility in Tubbergen, Netherlands.

Sprintex CEO Jay Upton highlighted the pervasive issue of ammonia emissions in rural areas of the Netherlands and the company’s role in delivering technology that reduces emissions and transforms waste into valuable resources. Production of the systems is set to begin in March, with plans for a significant scaling of operations to reach a target of 1,000 units annually by 2026, potentially generating $31 million in revenue.

Mest Water CEO Arjan Mensink stressed the importance of the partnership, noting that the patented ZLD-Up technology, developed over nine years, is the most advanced system available for manure processing. The project’s success could have broader implications across the European Union, where tightening ammonia emission regulations under the National Emission Reduction Commitments Directive are increasing the demand for innovative environmental solutions.
