Zest Eco, a charging point operator based in Leeds, has been granted approval by Fife Council to install five new rapid chargers at the Durie Street public car park. The upgrades will create ten EV charging bays.
The site, which currently offers 27 parking spaces and operates as a paid 24-hour public car park, will be partially converted to accommodate electric vehicles. The car park is located adjacent to the Lidl supermarket on School Lane.
Zest Eco aims to provide convenient and reliable charging solutions for electric vehicle owners, contributing to the transition to cleaner energy. The company, which funds and operates EV charging stations for local authorities, brands, and destinations, is one of the fastest-growing EV charge point operators in the UK.
“Our mission is to make the shift to EV a realistic option for all, by delivering a reliable charging experience that prioritises clean air and net-zero goals,” Zest Eco stated on its website.
