The Eufy E20 3-in-1 robot vacuum is a game-changer in the world of cleaning devices. Dubbed the ‘Transformer’ of robot vacuums, it easily converts into a stick or handheld vacuum, offering unmatched versatility. One of its standout features is the charging and dustbin self-empty station, adding convenience to its already impressive design.
While the E20 doesn’t come with a mopping system (but other Eufy models do), it still packs a punch with its advanced functionality. This is a first look as the robot undergoes a few weeks of extensive testing. Technically, it’s a Gen 3 robot, but with Line Lasers that offer faster, more accurate obstacle detection compared to the infrared sensors commonly used in most Gen 3 robots. While it lacks the camera-based obstacle recognition of Gen 5 bots, the E20 can sense obstacles as small as 15mm (like Lego blocks) and clean closely around them.
The Eufy E20 also features some Gen 4 capabilities, such as a charging station with a self-empty dustbin. The accompanying Eufy Clean app provides an array of helpful features, including quick mapping (up to 5), editable maps, customizable go and no-go zones, carpet cleaning mode (despite lacking a floor-type sensor), cleaning schedules, voice assistant integration, and more.
