Dreame has announced the launch of its latest robotic lawn mower, the A2, following the success of the A1 Pro, which was showcased at IFA 2024. The new model boasts several upgrades, including the advanced OmniSense 2.0 navigation system, which combines a 3D LiDAR sensor and an HDR camera for a detection radius of 70 meters (~230 feet). Like the A1, the A2 does not require a boundary wire or RTK stations, offering a more flexible setup. Dreame also highlights improved object recognition for better efficiency.
One of the key improvements in the A2 is the new EdgeMaster cutting system, which extends the blade to the side, enabling it to trim within 5 cm of the lawn’s edge. The A2 also comes equipped with a new hub motor, allowing it to handle steeper slopes, up to a 50% incline (26.5°). With a maximum recommended garden size of 3,000 m² (~0.75 acres), the A2 can cover more area than its predecessor, which had a recommended maximum of 2,000 m² (~0.5 acres).
Additional features of the A2 include remote app-based controls, allowing users to adjust mowing modes, manage maps, and create zones. The mower is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for voice control.
The Dreame Robotic Lawn Mower A2 will be available in European countries such as the Netherlands, France, and Spain starting March 18th, priced at €2,799. Customers who purchase the mower before March 31st will receive a €300 discount, lowering the price to €2,499. The product will be available on the Dreame online store and through third-party retailers like Amazon, Leroy Merlin, and Fnac. In comparison, the previous model, the Dreame Robotic Lawn Mower A1, launched in Europe at €1,999, but it is now priced at €1,348 on Amazon DE.
