Sweden has awarded Granzow a contract to supply up to 160 breathing air compressors to support the country’s armed forces in diving applications.
Breathing air compressors are essential for collecting and compressing large amounts of ambient air, which is then purified for use in respiratory devices, such as scuba tanks and medical equipment.
Under the agreement, Granzow, based in Enköping, will provide the Swedish military with Bauer air compressor kits in small, medium, and large sizes. These units will be used to fill various types of breathing air cylinders needed for military operations.
In addition to the compressors, Granzow will supply supporting accessories, including transport carts and filing ramps, to facilitate their use.
The delivery of these solutions will span up to four years, with an additional 10-year extension for ongoing maintenance at multiple Swedish Armed Forces facilities.
If all terms of the contract are met, Granzow is expected to receive 52 million Swedish kronor ($5 million) for the project.
