iRobot has long been a leader in the robot vacuum industry, often setting trends with new features. In 2018, the i7+ impressed users by mapping out homes and emptying itself. Then, in 2021, the j7 wowed people with its ability to avoid phone chargers.
However, iRobot’s success tends to slow down after the initial excitement. Other brands quickly catch up and offer similar features at lower prices. This leaves both budget and high-end Roombas struggling to deliver good value.
