iRobot has unveiled four new models in its Roomba vacuum cleaner lineup, marking the company’s first use of LiDAR navigation. The new models also feature rotating discs on some of the vacuums, enhancing their cleaning capabilities. However, with news that iRobot may soon shut down, it’s uncertain whether these new models will be launched as planned.
The new Roomba range includes both entry-level and flagship robot vacuums. The most affordable model is the Roomba 105 Combo, which does not feature LiDAR and is available with or without an auto-empty dock.
Following the entry-level model, iRobot has introduced the Roomba 205 DustCompactor, Roomba Plus 405 Combo, and Roomba Plus 505 Combo. While the designs of the new Roombas resemble those of previous models, the addition of LiDAR navigation stands out as the most exciting update in the new collection.
