Exmark has unveiled its first commercial autonomous mower, the Turf Tracer with XiQ, designed to help landscape contractors tackle labor shortages while increasing efficiency. The Turf Tracer with XiQ offers supervised autonomy, backed by a high-integrity safety system.
According to Jeremy Tate, Exmark’s Senior Autonomous Program Manager, the Turf Tracer with XiQ allows crews to do more with less effort. “With the ability to mow in manual or autonomous modes, the Turf Tracer with XiQ provides increased flexibility, productivity, and profitability for landscape professionals,” Tate stated.
Key Features of the Turf Tracer with XiQ
XiQ Technology Package
Developed over four years, the XiQ package integrates high-precision GNSS and RTK location technologies, along with ISO-certified radar detection for obstacle detection and collision prevention.
Mapping and Property Profiles
The Turf Tracer allows easy creation and storage of property profiles using mapping technology. These profiles can be stored online for quick recall across an entire autonomous fleet.
Mobile App Integration
Exmark has also developed an easy-to-use mobile app for Android and iOS. The app allows operators to store property maps, manage autonomous fleets, and receive live machine status updates in real-time.
