This week, Roborock announced the pre-order availability of its highly anticipated Saros Z70 robot vacuum, priced at a hefty $1,899, making it one of the most expensive robot vacuums on the market. To entice buyers, Roborock is bundling the Z70 with the option to receive a free second vacuum cleaner.
The Saros Z70 is a groundbreaking product, featuring a robotic arm that extends to pick up small items such as socks, tissues, and sandals, enhancing its cleaning efficiency. This innovative addition makes the Z70 the first mass-produced robot vacuum with a robotic arm. The vacuum also boasts an impressive 22,000Pa suction power and Roborock’s new StarSight navigation system, which uses 3D sensors, cameras, and machine learning to navigate and identify obstacles with precision.
Further enhancing its capabilities, the Z70 features Roborock’s “AdaptiLift Chassis,” a design previously introduced with the Qrevo Curv, which helps the robot navigate high transitions between rooms. The Z70 is also equipped with two-in-one mopping and vacuuming functionality, as well as a multifunction dock that not only cleans its mop pads and fills the water tank but also empties the dustbin.
In addition to the Z70’s launch, Roborock has overtaken iRobot as the number one selling robot vacuum brand globally, both in sales volume and revenue, according to analysts from IDC. In Q4, Roborock claimed 16% of the global market share, while iRobot, recently struggling financially, captured 13.7%, and Ecovacs, another Chinese company, secured 13.5%.
The launch of the Saros Z70 marks a significant milestone for Roborock as it continues to lead the way in the competitive robot vacuum market.
