Livium has entered into a three-year partnership with Hilti Fleet Management, focusing on the recycling of returned fleet management batteries. The agreement, which will begin in early April, will see Livium provide battery collection, sorting, and recycling services for Hilti’s lithium-ion batteries. This collaboration is expected to broaden Livium’s opportunities in managing the end-of-life phase for lithium-ion batteries, as the demand for such services is forecasted to grow significantly in the coming years.
Simon Linge, CEO and Managing Director of Livium, expressed appreciation for Hilti’s trust in choosing Livium as its exclusive partner for recycling fleet management batteries. He emphasized Livium’s role in expanding its recycling capabilities and building a strong pipeline of customers and channels for future battery recycling needs.
Livium plays a key role in the Battery Stewardship Council’s B-Cycle program, which aims to promote responsible battery recycling and reduce the amount of battery waste sent to landfills in Australia. The partnership with Hilti will further enhance Livium’s contributions to sustainability in the battery recycling industry.
Hilti, a global leader in providing service-based power tool solutions, expects the partnership to improve its recycling efficiency and streamline its supply chains. Through this collaboration, Hilti can enhance the sustainability of its operations while ensuring the responsible disposal of lithium-ion batteries.
